Cold Spring Granite – the leading quarrier and fabricator of natural stone in North America – has launched a new microsite devoted to showcasing the variety of finish options, including both standard and custom, for natural stone projects.

“Understanding the importance of offering standard finishes to designers and architects, Cold Spring Granite is also dedicated to bringing a vision or specific aesthetic look and feel to life through specialized finishes and capabilities,” said Dan Rea, vice president of commercial sales at Cold Spring Granite. “We have been receiving more requests for custom finish options that provide architects and specifiers additional tools for the design process. As we are challenged to do more, we have expanded our capabilities in the creation of custom finishes.”

Offering a wide variety of standard and proprietary finishes that range from the smooth touch of polished stone to rugged and natural, Cold Spring Granite can also perform elaborate and intricate finish treatments, including carving, laser etching or sandblasting of special graphics or lettering.

“Custom finish applications can be particularly valuable for restoration projects,” said Rea. “In these projects, the stone can be finished to match or complement an existing structure. Our skilled craftsmen welcome the challenges associated with even the most demanding design requirements. The possibilities are limitless.”

A wide variety of proprietary colors and standard finishes are available through Cold Spring Granite. Through the use of existing and the development of new techniques, Cold Spring Granite can create a myriad of custom finishes and treatments to enhance architectural design and bring a vision to life.
