Private Estates launches first walk-in columbarium

COLD SPRING, Minn. - The Private Estates division of the Cold Spring Granite Co. has developed the Vestibule Columbarium, its first walk-in columbarium.

Designed by leading private estates designer Mark Barthelemy, the Vestibule Columbarium provides shelter, solitude and an enclosed space for peaceful contemplation.

The understated classic design features an emerald Kenoran Sage granite and Cold Spring Black granite trim that sparkles with crystals around a solid bronze door. The Vestibule Columbarium's interior is brightened by a lamp and two marble angels on top of a wall of niches. Opposite the wall is a bench, allowing for people to sit in privacy. The columbarium is designed for eight niches and can be modified to accommodate 44 niches.

Two columns with black tops supporting durable high-gloss bronze vases for large flower arrangements flank the door. Any type of bronze religious or spiritual symbol can be mounted on both sides of the entrance. The Vestibule Columbarium was designed with bronze features in mind from the planning stage.

"We wanted to do something special for people or families seeking more exclusive interment options," says Barthelemy. "People choosing cremation now have the choice of being interred in a walk-in columbarium where family members can pay their respects in a protected environment."
